| Draw-Tite
was started in 1946 by Bob Whichello, an
inventor. Bob's first product was a clothes line
tightener. He called it a Draw-Tite. Unfortunately, that
was about the time residential clothes dryers became
popular and there wasn't much call for the original
Draw-Tite. Fortunately, Bob was also an avid RV'er. He
built a trailer hitch for his car that everyone thought
was nifty. Since he already had the name copywrited, he
called it a Draw-Tite. Before you knew it. Draw-Tite
became a symbol of craftsmanship in the towing industry.
